THE HAZLEWOOD ACT is a state education benefits program for
Texas veterans only.
Eligibility for the Hazlewood Act will not affect any Federal Education programs
because
the Hazlewood Act cannot be used until all Federal Education programs have
been
exhausted.
The Hazlewood Act exempts qualified Texas veterans attending
public institutions of
higher education in Texas for 150 cumulative credit hours from all tuition
and fee
charges. Exemptions at TAMU-CC are
property deposit fees, student services fee,
books, supplies, and living expenses.
